Climate change is impacting communities around the world. Communities in already vulnerable circumstances can face some of the most severe impacts from climate change. Our research examines impacts of climate change, with specific attention to extreme heat, in low-income communities in Los Angeles.

PLACE Study

Funded by the Alliance for Community Engagement–Climate and Health (ACE-CH), this community-academic study examined the impacts of extreme heat in Los Angeles communities of Pacoima, South Los Angeles, East Los Angeles, and Wilmington.
